Providing the outstanding educational, spiritual, art and athletic experiences students receive here requires funding beyond what tuition provides. Tuition does not cover the actual cost to educate each student at SAA-SDS, nor does it take into consideration institutional needs such as capital improvements, endowment or special projects. At SAA-SDS we are driven by the school’s mission, not solely by economics. We are committed to building a dynamic learning environment staffed by dedicated and experienced eachers. We offer this at a cost subsidized by our fundraising efforts, so students from many backgrounds can attend SAA-SDS. As a result, all families benifit from the richness of our diverse community. WE RELY ON YOUR GENEROSITY! In order to fulfill our mission, SAA-SDS relies upon the support and involvement of our entire community (trustees, facult and staff, parents, grandparents and aluni/ae), through a coordinated series of fundraising activities including the Annual Fund, Gala, Gingerbread House, Deferred Giving and Capital Campaigns. Dear St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School Family and Friends:
One of the most important decisions in raising our children is choosing a school in which to entrust their academic, social, and spiritual needs. In 1994, we chose SAA-SDS for our two daughters. Having had one daughter graduate in 2009 and the other set to graduate this year, we are certain that we made the right choice. That is why we feel strongly about supporting the SAA-SDS school family and are serving as chairpersons of the Annual Fund Drive for 2011-2012. We understand that everyone chose SAA-SDS for various reasons. We suspect those reasons include the highly qualified and experienced faculty, the exceptional academics, the Christian environment, the technological resources available to the students, and the many great sports and arts programs. Those attributes of the school come with a cost, and we believe that it is vital that we continue to grow and invest in what SAA-SDS has to offer its families. The fact is that all SAA-SDS students receive a scholarship built into their tuition, because the tuition charged does not cover the cost of the education provided. SAA-SDS is committed to keeping the school as affordable as possible, while delivering a high quality education to a student body that is economically and socially diverse. We must bridge the financial gap between revenues (tuition) and expenses by conducting the Annual Fund campaign each year. It’s that time of year. Please join us in participating in the 2011-2012 Annual Fund Drive. The goal for this year’s drive is $550,000. Soon a volunteer will call you to ask for a tax-deductible gift to the Annual Fund, so we ask that you please give the matter some meaningful thought.
